Lpulee CBO is a developmental integrated conservation organization with much focus on conserving Balanite aegyptiaca in Savannah woodlands of the pristine and marginalized zones of Samburu & Marsabit counties in Northern parts of kenya.Balanite aegyptiaca is tree species which is now threatened in it’s native habitats due to increasing anthropogenic pressures.B.aegytiaca has fruits which after following a series of procedures,it produces an edible oil which is used for cooking and for medicinal purposes .Morever,it’s seeds are highly nutritious for livestock.For this reason,In collaboarations with communities habiting the species,Lpulee organization is committed to conserving as well as utilization of the specie products for improving the livelihoods of these communities
The organization will contribute towards reduction of current ASAL region poverty line which stands at 70%. The organization anticipates to support the production of oil in high masses therefore sprouting industrialization spirit and as a creating market linkages which is currently limited in this Pastoralism setup
